Colombo : Female child missing at atalugama
Bandaragama Police say that they have received complaints from the parents of a nine year old girl that she is missing.
The missing girl is Fathima Ayesha, a 4th year student of a school in Atalugama.
According to the complaint, the girl had not come home since she had gone to a shop about 250 meters away from her house to fetch chicken at around 10 yesterday morning (27).
The missing girl is the third child in a family of four, police said.
The OIC of the Bandaragama Police Children and Women’s Bureau, Women’s Inspector Hemamali said that a complaint was lodged with the police regarding the absence.
On the instructions of Panadura SSP Samantha Wedage, ASP Upali Thalagala, Bandaragama Police OIC Chief Inspector RC Rajapaksa, OIC of the Children and Women’s Bureau Inspector PVA Hemamali, Inspectors Mihilar Anura and Women Police Constable Mr. and Mrs. Chathurika are conducting investigations.
