India requests a list of food items required by Sri Lanka
The Indian High Commissioner in Sri Lanka has requested for an annual list of food items required for Sri Lanka.
The announcement was made during a meeting between Minister of Commerce and Food Security Nalin Fernando and Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Gopal Bagle.
Accordingly, the Indian High Commissioner has stated that if the food needs of the country can be known in advance, the provision of such food could be given priority in the economic policies of the country.
