Colombo : Missing girl’s body found in swamp
The body of a 9-year-old girl who went missing has been found in the Atalugama area in Bandaragama.
Police said the body was found in a swamp near her home.
She is a Grade 4 student at a school in Atalugama.
The family members stated that she had gone to a nearby shop to buy groceries at around 10.00 am yesterday (27) and did not return home afterwards.
The suspects in her murder have not yet been identified.
Police Media Spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa stated that an extensive investigation is underway to find the suspects.
