Oman has reportedly reduced visa fees for foreign workers.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Labor is taking steps to reduce the visa fee charged to foreign workers by 85 percent.
Sultan Haitham bin Tariq has ordered a reduction in visa fees from June 1.
Previously, the ten-fold increase in visa fees had adversely affected the private sector economy, experts say.
About 300,000 foreign workers have left Oman due to increased visa fees.
To encourage the private sector, the Ministry of Labor decided to reduce fees.
