Australia won by 7 wickets against Sri Lanka

Today (25) Australia managed to win the match against Sri Lanka by 7 wickets in the Super 12 round of the 2022 T20 World Cup cricket tournament.

Australia captain Aaron Finch, who won the toss at the Perth Stadium, invited Sri Lanka to bat first.

Pathum Nissanka, who was not included in the match against Ireland, joined this match after recovering from the injury and Kusal Mendis started the Sri Lankan innings with him.

However, Kusal Mendis, who was among the runs in the previous matches, could not get successful results from the Perth turf and he lost for 5 runs.

Then Dhananjaya de Silva, who joined Pathum, established a successful partnership of 69 runs for the second wicket, adding strength to the Sri Lankan innings.

Dhananjaya is 26 points.

Pathum Nissanka scored 45 runs which included 2 fours.

Chamika Karunaratne, who joined Charith Asalanka, recorded an unbroken partnership of 36 runs for the 6th wicket.

At the end of the scheduled 20 overs, the Sri Lankan team scored 157 runs for 6 wickets.

Then Australia started the innings with 158 runs, captain Aaron Finch and David Warner.

The first wicket partnership between the two was limited to 26 runs due to Warner’s dismissal for 11 runs.

Australia’s second wicket partnership between Mitchell Marsh and Aaron Finch is 34 runs.

Marsh scored 18 points.

Glenn Maxwell was out for 23 runs.

Marcus Stonies, who played a fast innings, took Australia to victory by scoring 59 runs off 18 balls.

6 hits for 6 and 2 hits for 4 were included in that innings.

At the end of 16 overs and 3 balls, Australia managed to pass the target by losing 3 wickets.
