India won the 2022 Twenty20 World Cup cricket match against Zimbabwe by 71 runs.
Chasing a target of 187 runs, the Zimbabwean team managed to collect only 115 runs after 17 overs and 2 balls.
The Indian team, who batted first in the match held in Melbourne, scored 186 runs for the loss of 5 wickets at the end of the scheduled 20 overs.
Lokesh Rahul and Virat Kohli built a partnership of 60 runs for the second wicket.
Rahul scored 51 runs.
Surya Kumar Yadav, who played a fast innings, scored an unbeaten 61 runs with 6 fours and 4 sixes.
Entering the field to play the reply innings, Zimbabwe’s first three wickets fell at 28 runs.
Wesley Madhavere and Regis Chakabwa were dismissed before scoring.
