250 elephants died
Kenya, an African nation, is suffering from severe drought. A statement issued by Kenyan wildlife officials indicates that 205 elephants have died due to drought from February to October 2022.
Kenya, an East African country, has been hit by such a severe drought after 40 years.
In addition to elephants, 512 wilderbeasts, 381 zebras, 12 giraffes and 51 monkeys have died without drinking water due to severe drought, according to the Kenyan Minister of Tourism, Wildlife and Heritage, Peninna Malonza.
Kenya’s main tourist attraction is its wildlife.
