A giant asteroid passes by Earth
Named 2022 UF4, the receiver traveled 4.5 million kilometers from Earth.
About the size of an airplane, and 140 feet wide, if the trajectory of this receiver had changed by even a tenth, it would have crashed into the Earth and caused mass destruction.
The asteroid passed by the Earth at a speed of 46,800 kilometers per hour, according to a statement issued by NASA. This receiver is an Earth-orbiting receiver that takes 376 days to orbit our Sun. The receiver will come close to Earth again on October 28, 2055, when it will come within 1000 km of Earth. It is calculated that 8.23 million people will travel a distance.
