A Modi-Putin-Jinpin meeting
A meeting between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping will be held tomorrow (15) and the day after (16). The meeting will be held in Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan is a country belonging to Central Asia, and the ‘Shanghai’ Economic Cooperation Conference, which is being chaired by China, is being held in the city of Samarkand, Uzbekistan this year. The city of Samarkand was also a city belonging to the Silk Road in the past.
This is the first time that Indian Prime Minister Modi, Russian President Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping will meet face-to-face after Russia followed military action against Ukraine. They will meet each other during the conference. Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Pakistan are also participating in the Shanghai conference.
This is also the first time that Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit a foreign country after the start of the ‘Covid-19’ epidemic in 2019. Chinese President Xi Jinping will meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the ‘BRICS’ summit held in 2019.
