A typhoon hits the southern Philippines
Typhoon Nalgay hit the southern Philippines. With the advance warning about the typhoon, more than 300,000 people were directed to safe places in Mindanao, which belongs to the Philippines.
According to an announcement issued by the Philippine government, 31 people lost their lives in accidents caused by heavy rains, flash floods and strong winds today.
It is said that more than 100 houses have been destroyed by flash floods and many provinces are without electricity.
