‘Agnipath’ disturbing India

There has been widespread opposition to the new program called ‘Agneepath’ introduced by the Indian central government to recruit new members to the army.

Violent protests are taking place in some states of India and damage to state property has also been reported.

A group of protesters stormed the Mohiundinagar railway station in Bihar
The ‘Jammu Tawi’ express train traveling on the Hajipur-Baranui railway line was attacked and damaged.

Through the ‘Agnipath’ program, young people between the ages of 17 and 21 are recruited into the Army only for a period of four years.

Those soldiers will then be forced to retire. Many retirees do not receive bonuses or pensions. Protests against the ‘Agnipath’ program are being held accordingly.
