Air crash death toll rises to 19
Prime Minister Kasim Majaliwa has told the media that 19 of the 43 people on board the crashed Tanzanian plane have lost their lives.
The plane crashed into Lake Victoria. When the plane crashed, there were 39 passengers and two flight attendants were part of the crew in addition to the two pilots. A domestic flight crashed in Tanzania.
Rescue operations began as soon as the plane crashed into Lake Victoria. It was also reported that the rescued injured were admitted to hospitals in Bukoba.
The plane crashed while it was on its way to Bukoba Airport. The cause of the accident has not yet been revealed. Investigations into the accident have already started.
