An earthquake hits West Sumatra
An earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale shook the island of West Sumatra in Indonesia. Padang city is said to have been heavily damaged by the earthquake.
In addition, the Indonesian media reports that the earthquake damaged the city of Padang on Siberut Island in West Sumatra.
