Pakistani President Dr. Arif Ali Khan has said he will launch an investigation into allegations made by former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Imran, who lost his seat in the opposition’s no-confidence motion, alleges that the opposition joined the US in taking money from the US and overthrowing its own government.
Pakistani President Arif Ali Khan has written to former Prime Minister Imran Khan informing him that an investigation is underway into the allegations, Pakistan’s Presidential Secretary has told the media.
Imran alleges that the then Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, who was then the Leader of the Opposition, took steps to oust him, citing telephone recordings and a number of exchanged letters as evidence. It is said that they have been brought to the notice of the police.
