Blames the Afghan Taliban government
The UN Security Council has expressed strong displeasure over the atrocities committed by the Afghan Taliban government against Afghan women.
Blaming the Afghan Taliban government, the 15-member UN Security Council expressed its displeasure.
The Afghan Taliban regained power in the country after the American troops left Afghanistan in 2021.
By now, the Taliban rulers have re-implemented their own Sharia law. Accordingly, girls and university education are prohibited. Women are not allowed to work in NGOs.
It is absolutely unacceptable for the Taliban rulers to take away the basic rights of Afghan women. The UN Security Council has further explained that strict measures will be taken against the rulers of the Afghan Taliban.
