Declared a state of emergency in Hungary

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has declared a state of emergency in Hungary to respond quickly to the challenges posed by the war in neighboring Ukraine.

Victor Urban was elected Prime Minister for the fourth time in the first week of April.

Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said in a video posted on his Facebook page that the war in Ukraine poses a threat to Hungary’s security and could jeopardize its financial and energy security.

Prime Minister Victor Orban has declared a state of emergency in Hungary following a constitutional amendment yesterday (24) allowing a state of emergency to be declared in the event of an armed conflict, war and humanitarian disaster in a neighboring country.
