Emergency situation due to monsoon rains – Pakistan
A state of emergency has been declared in view of the heavy rains and floods that are lashing Pakistan with the onset of the monsoon season.
A state of emergency has been declared by Pakistan’s Federal Ministry of Climate Change.
Citing meteorologists, the Federal Ministry of Climate Change has further said that the monsoon weather conditions affecting the country may intensify in the next few weeks.
According to meteorologists further, the cities and states of Islamabad, Pakistan Kashmir, Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Sindh will receive heavy rainfall till August 9.
