Heavy rains have inundated many parts of Bangladesh and India, displacing millions, according to foreign media reports.
The death toll from the inclement weather has risen to 57. Two million people have been displaced by floods in Bangladesh alone. Of the 57 deaths due to inclement weather, 47 were reported from India.
Heavy rains and floods caused severe damage to Assam. Assam authorities say 3,200 villages in Assam have been inundated and more than 850,000 people have been affected.
