Indian singer murdered
Popular Indian singer Sidhu Mooswala, 27, has been shot dead in the Mansa district of Punjab, Indian media reports.
Sidhu Mooswala is also the leader of the Indian Congress party in the state of Punjab. The shooting comes less than 24 hours after the Punjab government removed Sidhu Mooswala’s security.
According to police sources, more than 30 bullets were fired at the vehicle in which Sidhu Mooswala was traveling.
The injured Sidhu Mooswala Mansa died after being admitted to the Civil Hospital, Indian media reported.
Sidhu Mooswala sustained eight gunshot wounds to his body, Indian hospital sources said. Indian police say they are detaining and questioning six people in connection with the shooting.
