Iran, Argentina like to join Brics
Iran and Argentina have agreed to join the Brics group of emerging economies.
It is said that Iran and Argentina have applied to join the ‘Brics’ group.
The Brics group is made up of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. The word ‘Birax’ is derived from the initials of the English name in these countries.
Iran is a Gulf state and Argentina is a Latin American state. Russia and Brazil have agreed to include Argentina in the Brics team. Brazil is also a Latin American country.
It is reported that China and India have agreed to include Iran in the ‘Brics’ group.
