Pakistan government starts talks with Taliban
The Pakistani government says it has started talks with the leaders of the Pakistan-based Tariq-e-Taliban terrorist organization.
Tariq e Taliban is an Islamic extremist armed group operating exclusively in Pakistan, separate from the Afghan Taliban. They are the ones who commit violence in Pakistan.
The government of Pakistan says that a special parliamentary committee has been formed to hold talks with the Tariq e Taliban organization, and that committee has already met with the leaders of the Tariq e Taliban and started discussions.
