Putin-Jinping met officially

A meeting was held between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping, who attended the Shanghai Cooperation Summit, in Samarkand, the capital of Uzbekistan.

Currently, Russian President Vladimir Putin as well as Chinese President Xi Jinping are under the ‘anger’ of Western countries including America. The Russian president is furious over Russia’s military action against Ukraine. The Chinese president is angry because of the Taiwan-China crisis.

On the orders of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russian troops invaded Ukraine on February 24. With the encouragement of America, Ukraine is trying to become a member of NATO. ‘NATO’ or the North Atlantic Treaty Organization is a military alliance formed by Western countries including the United States against Russia.

When he met Chinese President Xi Jinping during the Shanghai Cooperation Summit in the capital of Samarkand, the Russian President called the Chinese President his ‘closest old friend’.

This is the first time that Putin and Xi Jinping have met since the start of the Ukraine-Russia war. The two heads of state had previously met each other a few days before the start of the war in Ukraine. At that time, it is also said that Putin and Xi Jinping expressed their agreement to strengthen Russian-Chinese relations without submitting to any conditions.

Currently, Western countries including America have imposed various sanctions on Russian President Putin regarding the invasion of Ukraine. Claiming that China acts as a threat to Taiwan’s security, Western countries including the United States are preparing to impose sanctions on China.

The Russian and Chinese presidents took part in the Shanghai Cooperation Conference held in Samarkand, accompanied by their representatives.
