The Solomon Islands state was shaken by a strong earthquake. The magnitude of the earthquake was 7.0 on the Richter scale.
Tsunami warnings were issued to surrounding countries taking into account the magnitude of the earthquake and its location. Many houses and properties were damaged by the earthquake.
Foreign reports indicate that the earthquake lasted for 20 seconds and the Solomon Islanders were very scared. No casualties or injuries have been reported yet due to the earthquake.
