The Climate Change Conference begins
The United Nations Climate Conference (COP 27) began in Sharm el-Sheikh on the Red Sea in Egypt. The conference, which started on 6th of November, will be held until the 18th.
This is the 27th COP conference. Representatives of world leaders, environmentalists, scholars and many others have come to Sharm El Sheikh to participate in this conference.
With the aim of taking the necessary steps to limit global warming, the ‘COP’ conference is held annually.
Addressing the conference, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres pointed out that the last 8 years since 2015 have seen the highest temperatures on earth, and that the earth is on the brink of destruction.
