The Libyan parliament is set on fire
Riotous protesters stormed the country’s parliament building in Tobruk, Libya, and set fire to one part of the parliament building.
The protesters stormed the parliament building and attacked the security personnel of the parliament. Libyan media also reported that protesters burned tires in front of the parliament building.
Although Libya is a Middle Eastern country rich in oil resources, it is currently a politically and economically unstable country. Continuous power cuts and prices of essential commodities are rising day by day without control.
There is an interim government in Libya and the government is headed by Abdel Hamid Daliba. Abdel Hamid Daliba has promised to hold a general election soon and solve the political crisis, but the scheduled general election is being delayed day by day.
This has led to public protests and violent protests in Libya’s capital Tripoli and other major cities. Libyans joining the protests broke into the country’s parliament building in Tobruk and set fire to part of it.
