It is reported that three Kurdish nationals living there were killed and three others were injured in a shooting that took place in Paris, the capital of France.
The shooting suspect is a 69-year-old Frenchman. He is currently in police custody. The suspect is also said to be a racist.
Yesterday (24), this person armed himself with a firearm, broke into a Kurdish cultural center building in the 10th arrondissement of Paris and opened fire.
The majority of people living in the 10th arrondissement of Paris are Kurds who have come to France. The shops in the cultural center where the shooting took place are Kurdish shops, and Kurdish immigrants who have come to France work in them.
After the police arrest, the shooting suspect was admitted to a mental hospital under special police protection. That is to check his mental condition. A French military pistol was used to shoot the suspect.
After the shooting, the Kurds living in the 10th district gathered and rioted against the police and the government. The police were also deployed to control the crowd.
French President Emmanuel Macron said that he was shocked by the attack on the Kurds in Paris.
The governor has instructed the Inspector General of Police in Paris to immediately go and talk to the Kurdish community. Accordingly, media reports have further said that the Kurdish people have calmed down.
