The Vatican is willing to intervene
The Vatican has said that it is willing to be a mediator to resolve the Russian-Ukraine crisis.
It is said that this decision taken by the Vatican has also been approved by Russia. However, Ukraine has not said anything about it.
“Russia is happy that the Vatican expressed such an opinion. Russia agrees. But both sides should approach the discussion,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has explained in front of the media.
His Holiness has on numerous occasions called for a peaceful resolution of the crisis, beginning with Russia’s military action against Ukraine.
