There is no paper for printing textbooks in Pakistan
Paper Associations in Pakistan warn that school textbooks will not be printed for the new academic year due to the ongoing paper crisis in the country.
The All Pakistan Paper Traders Association, Pakistan Print Graphic Association and other associations affiliated with the paper industry also called a press conference to say that due to the ongoing paper crisis, no textbooks will be printed for the new academic year beginning in August 2022.
It is reported that the printing of school textbooks has been stopped in Sindh, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The paper crisis has now affected many countries around the world. That is due to global inflation.
However, Pakistan is facing a paper crisis due to the misguided policies of ousted Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan and the current Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, as well as the monopoly on the local paper industry.
