Paris : Tried to destroy Mona Lisa
A man in a wheelchair disguised as a disabled old woman enters the Louvre Museum in Paris, France, attempting to damage a ‘Mona Lisa’ painting that is safely on display at the museum.
The painting ‘Mona Lisa’ can be considered as an invaluable masterpiece by Leonardo da Vinci. It is on display in the Louvre Museum in a special, unbreakable bulletproof glass frame.
The man, who entered the museum as a disabled old woman, jumped out of a wheelchair and placed an icing cake on the painting, much to the amazement of onlookers.
As the glass cover was on the surface, the painting was not damaged in any way, and the person who tried to damage the painting was arrested by the museum security and handed over to the Paris police.
After an investigation, police said it was an attempt to gain attention. The attempt to damage the ‘Mona Lisa’ painting also received widespread publicity on social media.
