Russia has warned Finland against joining NATO’s North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
Finland is a neighbor of Russia. Russia has made it clear that it will not hesitate to take any action against Finland if it becomes a NATO member.
Finland is also preparing to join NATO due to Russia’s role. Russia has launched a military operation against Ukraine. Ukraine is Russia’s closest neighbor.
Russia has been pursuing military action against Ukraine since Ukraine sought NATO membership. Russia believes NATO membership of Ukraine could pose a threat to Russia’s national security. However, NATO is reluctant to grant membership to Ukraine.
Finland is bordered by Russia & a area of 1,300 km. Until now, Finland has been a pro-NATO, non-partisan country.
